As part of a brand-new partnership, Melton-based SAQ® International has recently provided training to staff of the Virgin Active Academy at Peterborough United’s Nene Park training ground.

SAQ® International are the market leader in speed, agility and quickness training, and have recently signed a deal with Virgin Active to ensure that SAQ® training forms part of the organisation’s Virgin Active Academy.

Under the guidance of SAQ® International Managing Director, Alan Pearson – who has been working with promotion-chasing Peterborough United over the course of the season – provided training to Virgin Active’s Jane Whittingham, National Active Academy Manager, as well as Donna Collins, Kirsty Coldham Senior Club Trainers and Active Academy team members.

The Virgin Active trio enjoyed two days of being educated in elements of SAQ® International’s practices, which will form part of Virgin Active Academy’s own soon-to-be-launched SAQ® Programmes.

At the culmination of their training, Virgin Active’s Jane, Donna and Kirsty joined the Peterborough United first team for a full training session, based on SAQ® exercises, which was run by Alan Pearson alongside Peterborough United’s senior first-team coach, Gary Breen.

Virgin Active will go on to deliver training to over 30,000 junior members to help improve and develop movement for young people across the country.
